Feeling overwhelmed or discouraged about what it takes to become a saint? You're not alone.

One of the most influential saints and Doctor of the Church, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, had the same thoughts and concerns. However, she found a way.

The Lord showed St. Thérèse the 'shortcut' — complete surrender, trust, and effort. It is only through the Grace and Power of God that we can act and achieve holiness. Giving up our worries, our desire to control, and accepting our limitations allows us to rely on God, which then allows Him to work through our lives.

As Ralph Martin mentions, one of St. Thérèse's struggles was to keep awake during prayer. What kept her from falling into discouragement was the fact that- despite her weaknesses- she always kept trying and giving the Lord whatever she could in the present moment.

Despite our weaknesses, God wants us to show that we trust in Him through our efforts in become holier, even when we fall short over and over again. This will not go left unnoticed by the Lord.

My mother whose name is Therese just passed away on The Feast of St Therese. She had been in a lot of pain but was always so grateful for any help we gave. She had such strength and grace. My sister and I nursed her at home under the care of Hospice. She left me her Rosary beads which I have been praying. What a gift she was and i feel through praying the Rosary she continues to enrich our lives 💙

Once I began to pray the Rosary, I ended up praying it 4 times a day, and meditating on each Hail Mary, I could never do this alone, but God's power ans Mary's guidance got me where I am right now in my prayer tiime

Well I'm a convert and I kept praying and showing up and now that I'm here ill keep doing the same in the fullness of the faith and trust in our Lords Mercy to bring me all the way home. I can't imagine being a saint but I'm grateful for just finding the true church. Thank you Jesus for finding your lost sheep.
