Dermatology nurse here... What she is saying is so true. Facts are, yes some ppl can use the products without issues, for others they can cause alopecia, contact dermatitis, etc. finasteride and monoxidil are great products but please keep in mind, they are lifetime products, meaning u MUST keep using them for it to work and yes, your hair will fall out once u stop. Several products have petrolatum, mineral oil, and other products that will indeed coat the hair but will not allow moisture to penetrate the hair shaft. Several products have FOREVER chemicals in them meaning once they penetrate your scalp and enter your system, they NEVER leave your body and over time, they build up causing health issues including cancer. Let that soak in for a moment.
Listen, she is dropping some gems here, take it or leave it. All i can say is the marketing departments of these companies would love this comment section as it proves their strategies work. Do what works for u but stop getting upset and defensive when someone is only trying to help people make informed decisions.

The fact people are coming for your video speaks volumes about our culture. I clicked subscribe immediately, I WILL support another sister taking time out her schedule to help educate others.

If you use food oils like olive, avocado and coconut they HAVE to be 100% unrefined, organic and cold pressed.

I have mid back length hair. I always use blue magic. Whatever works for your hair like she said.

When did we stop oiling/scratching our scalp?? That was a front porch Sunday afternoon ritual with my grandma and Auntee! Not only did it foster girl talk time but it was a tradition passed down to my daughter, niece and great nieces. We all have beyond shoulders length, healthy natural hair!! Bring it back… ❤

I believe we don't hydrate our insides with enough H2O, water! I, we need to do better

Remember people, genetics and hair type do matter. People will say they use x, y, z products in their hair and that’s what they have the hair they do but in reality it’s their genetics and hair type that assist o the ease of their length and health retention.

Listen to understand, not to argue. The comment section often reveals the mindset of our world—it shows where we’re at as a collective. 🌎 Many of us say we’re here to learn or seek help, yet sometimes we end up in conflict instead of gratitude. When we’re given information, it’s a starting point, a foundation for us to do our own research and find what resonates. Let’s appreciate these chances for growth and focus on what serves us best, rather than reacting defensively. True understanding comes when we stay open and curious."

I don't know how I feel about this! Different things work for different people and also at different times per person. It is incumbent upon each one of us to be diligent about what we are looking to achieve and how the products we try impact our hair personally. There is NO magic formula that works for Everyone.

Girl! Facts! You can call me a hair product snob, but I've tried every "Black Hair", "Natural Hair" product that's out, and most of them have not worked on my hair (natural, dry, undefined curl pattern, lol). I use mostly salon-quality products. Thanks for your information!

The Mielle rosemary line dried my already dry hair ALL THE WAY out!

I made a video about these oils at the beauty supply stores.Because they have so many other harmful ingredients for your scalp and hair. And I warned people not to use these oils, but some people are still using them and having scalp issues or breakage. Your hair is very beautiful.Thank you ever kindly enjoyed the rest of the weekend. God-Bless you 🪷 ❤

I had to completely stop shopping in the curly girl isle. I’m in the OTHER isle at Sephora, Ulta and department stores. My hair is flourishing with salon quality brands. It’s worth the extra money.

People look at me like I’m crazy when I say I don’t believe the products sold in local beauty supply stores are real. The texture, smell and consistency be off in my go to’s that I’ve purchased. I’ve also found it odd that they still sell products that I can’t even find on the product owner’s websites.
Now having a new baby I am finding it EXTREMELY difficult to find quality products that keep his hair moisturized so I completely resonate with you on the curly girl isle not having products that are good for our hair. All of it grows his hair out 😢 I’ve been saying that I would like to formulate my own products for him but now I’m afraid to do that after watching your video and considering I know nothing about hair professionally lol. Thank you so my for bringing awareness!! This was such an eye opener and confirmation that I am not crazy!!!
