I taught my dog commands in Japanese partially for fun and also since no one else commands him. Mostly fun though. He does English too so I guess he is bilingual

“No you can’t tell I’m disabled just by looking at me but disability comes in all shapes and sizes.” THANK YOU
I am a type one diabetic and just a few months ago I picked up a DAD (diabetes alert dog) he’s not completely trained yet but he’s to the point where I can start taking him out more and more. He’s so good so far, and at my school a lot of people think “oh dog I can let it!! Fun!” It’s super annoying. It doesn’t help that I live in a small town where a lot of people do the ‘buy a fake vest’ thing. So when I go out with him to lunch or dinner I get questions. It’s annoying that people do that, I hate it. It makes people question real handlers. I’m sure I will hav to deal with more bull as I go along with him.
Service animals are amazing though and it’s so cool to see all the things we can use them for. Sorry this was long and rambley, have a good day.

We're German and our dog reacts to English and Hungarian commands... It's better because no idiots can distract him... Also gave him a "street name" for everyday live, so no one knows his service dog name. Same reason as above :-) French sounds so much more sophisticated :-D Your dog is so beautiful!

This was awesome. And I didn't know about the crossing the street part. I did think guide dogs were trained to know when to cross the street so I learned something new today.

I have been thinking about getting a service dog for a few years now. I am physically disabled and there are dogs who are trained to help get people off the floor, give support when walking, and pull wheel chairs. I’m not fully wheelchair bond and actually walk on my own most of the time so I never felt like I fully qualified. But this last year I developed a mysterious condition (that still hasn’t been diagnosed) that causes me to faint randomly. This development brought up the service dog issue up again. Now I would need a dog who would stay with me when I collapse, help me get up, and possible aid me in walking to a place to rest. The only thing holding me back is I live in college dorms..I have fought with them just to have a single dorm because I have a lot of mobility aids and the dorms are to small according to the ADA for me, my equipment, and another person. I don’t really know why I’m commenting this but it just felt like a good place to vent my feelings and maybe get advice.

In the US, it is a illegal to deny access to a person with a service dog, as well as illegal to ask anything other than these two questions: Is your dog needed in order to provide a service to you? And What service has your dog been trained to provide to you? No documentation or proof is required or anything. And they cannot deny you public access/service unless your dog is uncontrollable or aggressive. They must allow you and your dog on the public premises, regardless of whether or not a dog is actually a service dog or not. They must take you at your word. If they do not, they should be reported. Is it the same in Canada? And if it is, how are they getting away with denying you access? (I should add that I completely agree that people faking service dogs by slapping a vest or harness on them is 100% wrong.)

Hi Molly! I wanted to say thanks for making this video. I'm an English teacher in Japan, and we actually have a lesson about guide dogs in our Junior High School grade 2 textbook. So of course, I had to show them one of your videos. This was the perfect length of video to show in class, and I had them do a true/false quiz about this video. They really enjoyed it.
Hopefully some of them will continue to watch your content.

Much love from Ehime Prefecture, Japan! <3

Hi Molly. I recently got back from Mira Guard dog center with my brand new best friend, falco. he is all black with a little white spot on his chest and white on his paws. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide dog, and your motivational videos how to make a find mira to. Going to Canada was probably the best experience I’ve ever had. Yes, I would also pick a guy dog over a drivers license

I know this video is a couple years old but I really loved the style you did for it! Super fast paced and fun. Plus lots of clips of seeing Gallop! He's sooo cute.

I'm so inspired by you. My little sister is blind from birth and after finding your channel I discovered so many ways to help her! Thankyou so much! You're amazing!

We're respite boarders for guide dogs in the UK, which means we care for guide dogs in our home if their owners are sick, if a dog gets sick or injured and needs recovery time, or if there's a dog in training who just needs a break - there's a guide dog sleeping on my feet right now in fact! It's amazing how many people don't know the basics like rights of access and even the golden rule: do not touch, feed or otherwise distract a working dog - somebody's life is in those paws. Thanks for spreading the message, Molly and Gallop, you're a great team!

He's so adorable. He looks like such a happy boy. Both of you clearly love each other a ton, and that makes me happy. And, after all, fuzzy friends rock, so that's awesome! I hope you guys get to be and work together for a long time.

Such a good boy! It always baffles me when people say its cruel. I heard a friend say it was cruel because the dog isn't allowed pats and attention when working (this was about a service dog in training). I think you only need to look at most service dogs to see they love what they do. same with most working dogs. They are getting constantly engaged, lots of love and lots of rewards.

I didn't know about people faking having a service dog. You keep teaching me new things Molly.
