Hi Doc,
I never got into this album. I had it on cd but recently I bought the vinyl and I have to admit it sounds real good.
After listening the whole album through a few times, i think it is not that bad album as I thought it was.
Listening to this album, it reminded it me of McCartney 1 and McCartndey 2. A few songs of Driving Rain are improvisations as well.

I like driving rain, bar the title track and 'your loving flame' (which are hardly disasters) I think its largely good to very good.

I don't think he even has one bad album or single but I can understand why one wouldn't like Driving Rain or Press To Play maybe.

Here in the U.S. "Driving Rain" came with dance instructions for each song.

I know nothing about this album...Off the subject...Since you like cartoons.. what do you think of Tex Avery....is that something you’d watch ..or not!

Overall a very bad album. I mean I can tolerate Your Way...maybe About You (barely) and Magic (only because it's about Linda). The rest? Fuh-get about it!! In my opinion its still his worst album. I'd take Pipes Of Peace any day over this!

I don't mind Driving Rain at all. Nowhere near his worst. That dubious distinction is reserved for Press to Play. Its so bad I consider it his three worst albums.
