Seriously? Everyday there are shootings and violence. Sounds like the steady decline in "crime" is due to not counting or ignoring the actual crimes to get a favorable number. What data are they using? Is it actual crimes reported by the victims (which is what it should be)? Is it actual crimes that are being charged in court? Is it criminals who have been found guilty? There needs to be some verifiable number or else any number can be used. Judges are releasing criminals every day, are those crimes being counted?

It’s really not, the city is not adding reports done by other police departments in the city of Dallas.

With people struggling financially more and more each year since 2021 I would say this has less to do with the police department and more with lower income people not being able to afford to live in Dallas
