It would be so cool to have something like that in the anime.
The character "lost" a shadow game/duel and is going to "die"/"lose his soul"... that atmosphere of silence and tension remains... his friends despair... and then the exodia appears and the duel ends in tie.

This is an error in the programming, the official rulings on exodia is that if you have all the pieces at anytime, that’s game, you don’t continue with effects or resolve chains, that’s it. Another example of Konami fumbling this title.
