This is a love song. A love song about a woman who wants to believe that her love is special but...she keeps crying....she keeps trying...but it is not working. In the mirror. To the heavens. To friends and family she keeps saying "This is no ordinary love!" and saddest of all...she hopes one day she can believe it. That is why this song sounds so sad yet the love it speaks of is so beautiful. When you love someone so much you give "all that you have inside"! And still...they take. Love this song...I think, I hope, most of us have loved someone this intensely. Even if it hurt.

Even the rockers, hard rockers and metal heads, liked Sade. It was strange but true. Of all her songs "Maureen" was my favorite. Ironically there was a FM station that used to be called "the quiet storm". Their call was "soft and warm the quiet storm! Sade was easy on the eyes too.Forehead be damned.
