House Republicans are poised to grill Dr. Anthony Fauci at a hearing on Monday as lawmakers continue to scrutinize his response to the COVID-19 pandemic and examine theories of the origin of the virus. The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic have spent 15 months rooting through emails, Slack messages and research proposals for evidence against the 83-year-old immunologist. Fauci previously proclaimed that he has "nothing to hide" and is coming before the panel voluntarily. It will mark the first time he's publicly testified since he left the federal government at the end of 2022 after five decades of service.

So, MTG, after many truly childish, petty and stupid displays that would put a kindergartener to shame then appeared to appoint herself Chair of the committee. When Rep. Raskin raised a point of order she answered it. screeching over the chair and refusing to behave with the dignity such a serious subject deserves. How I long for a chair strong enough to tell her that if she cannot conduct herself by the rules of etiquette she will be removed, and then also dare to carry out the sanction when she again insults the witness or her fellow Congressmen/women. The spectacle she is making of herself and her party is not just an embarrassment to Congress it is a gleeful display of spinelessness and disunity in the country delighting the US's enemies.
