I really enjoyed this album from tracks 1-10, but after that it dragged on. If after that he just kept Dressed Like Rappers and Find A Topic I think this album would've been top 10 for me this year. Even besides that though this album was a pretty big disappointment compared to Cilvia Demo, especially in the lyrics. If this project had as interesting lyrical content and bars as Cilvia Demo I would've loved it even with the tracks I don't like. I can enjoy myself when listening to this but at the end of the day I don't think I'll return to this album much at all ever. Gotta give props to Kendricks verse though god damn Kendrick somehow still impresses me

Yeah, the main problems with this album I think are 2 things: Too much fat/filler on the tracklisting and no *lyrical* growth. Like Isaiah said on "Rope" he has music for the "vibers" and it's obvious that he went for the more vibe appeal for the album as opposed to the lyrical medicine that was present in "Cilvia Demo" in songs like "Heavenly Father" which is still Isaiah's best song to date. I think it was a decent album for what it was but if the album would've ended right after "Stuck in the Mud" I think it would've been a WAYYY stronger project cause right after "Stuck in the Mud" it takes a nose dive and not in a good way. It gets progressively weaker until the final track "Find a Topic" kicks in which I thought was a nice way to end the project. But as a whole? Too much fat.

Is this better than "Cilvia Demo"? I didn't even watch your review with Anthony but I can bet money it's a HELL NO from you. And even if it isn't It's a hell no from ME cause Cilvia Demo is still leagues above this. And when I say leagues I mean about 2 or 3. Not that much but still "Demo" is the superior project in my honest opinion.

I *hope and pray* "Cilvia Demo" doesn't become Isaiah's best project but by the looks of things I think it might be Cilvia Demo I think will become his "Illmatic" just a project of his own that he can't top. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling I'm not.

I've never been a huge fan of Isaiah Rashad. Cilvia Demo was good, but this album was okay at best. Like you said in the review, this album is just to long which means that he needs to mix up the style of the tracks in order to make it more interesting instead of listening to, effectively, the same track. Good review!

Cool review, hope it gets you some more exposure. I probably liked the album more than you guys because I still liked some of those tracks near the end like Dressed like Rappers and Brenda. the only track I really disliked was A lot, that Mike Will beat was very generic and Isaiah's mumbling was just bad. I feel like this album was cool but I had very high expectations. It's been growing on me. However, Fantano tripping on Cilvia Demo, that shit was not one dimensional at all and aside from maybe production it was better in every other way.

in my 1st listen, i thought the album was dissapointing and boring, right now i already done a 2nd listen, and i finally get what he's saying! that also what civlia happened to me, it took another listen to get to it. anyway. But still, i think it should have been shorter and should've gone better., my flaws wit this is that he went chill too much, don't matter, AA, and A Lot should have been bonuses at least (for me). But still cilvia is better imo, just because he had mixed emotions, flow, aggressiveness etc, and I just like like his lyrics in cilvia more. anyways its a 2.5-3/5 for me.
