It kinda brings up a good point. I think you should be able to make one in survival. Maybe you can only get the materials in the end, that way you have to find the stronghold first and do all that, but then once you get there and beat the dragon to come back, you should be able to make it, so that you could just build a portal right at your base. Thank goddess you can do that with nether portals at least.

Once you go to ender world can you travel back to the world you were creating stuff like cities ? My daughter can't find her home base we worked really hard on.
