The value and importance of Sustainability Education: An Introduction

Sustainability education is recognised as a pivotal enabler to bringing about the transformative change needed to address the environmental and related social challenges we face today. In this presentation, programme directors of our new MA Education for a Sustainable Environment at The University of Manchester, Susan Brown and Dr Juup Stelma, explore what sustainability education is, why it is so important and the opportunities and challenges it presents for those involved in teaching, training and communicating.
