My favorite Taj Mahal album! I'm be 71 in a couple weeks. I have wanted to see him live since I was a young teenager near Seattle. Somehow it never happened. Then, in 2011 I retired and moved to Hawaii Island near Hilo. A year or two later, he did a show at the Honokaa Peoples Theater, about 80 miles from my home. Kim Simmonds from Savoy Brown played too before Taj, and they also did some tunes together. I finally got to see this bluesman. I believe he lived, or lives, on Kaui. Fun show for my wife and I.

For decades now I have steadfastly maintained that it is impossible to listen to more than a couple of minutes of Taj Mahal without breaking into a grin. God bless him.

You know this is the first album I ever bought. In a little record shop in Ann Arbor MI. Just a kid. I bought it because I liked the cover photo. It changed my life. I still have the vinyl disc and play it from time to time. Strangely enough I ended up in Tulsa Oklahoma. I love this

Probably the best electric blues album ever made. Musical perfection with vocals and lead guitar legends.

Duane...falls off horse, breaks arm and just like that a star is made. Thank you Taj for your influence.

I saw this band at the Newport Pop Festival 'Devonshire Downs' 1969. I stood about 6 feet from the stage and let me tell you they were great! Jesse ed Davis has always been one of my favorite players. It's still a vivid image to ths day.

Gregg Allman gave this album to his brother Duane "Skydog" as a birthday gift, along with a glass bottle of Coricidin pills, which inspired Skydog to use the Coricidin bottle to play slide. Gregg was my parents age, but I am a huge fan of him, the Allman Brothers and Duane. I never heard Taj before this. I see why he gave it to Duane, and why it influenced him. This is awesome!

Recently turned 60. Listened to a lot of blues in my time. Somehow managed to miss this one until now. Holy sh!t!!!! Blew my socks so far off that I can’t find them. Best rockin’ blues I ever heard.

My favorite blues singer. Has been since I first heard him in early 70's. Finally got to see him in Portland OR in late 90's.

Wow! Taj Mahal, a blast from the past. Saw him at the Shaboo All star Inn in CT many, many moons ago. Saw Johnny Winters, Muddy Waters there, you name 'em. Good times

Wow! One of the best albums of blues ever! I can now understand from who many important bands and musicians got their influence. A unique master piece!
