Honestly that 120hz alone takes the cake for me. S23 lineup is absolutely fantastic Samsung did a great job this year and that's why I went with S23 Ultra instead of iPhone 15 pro max. Also S23 Ultra was on a massive sale got it for a bit more than $900. No regrets

My S23 Ultra definitely feels faster after the Android 14 update. I think Samsung phones do get faster over time. The biggest thing I noticed was better and smoother animations versus Android 13.

Samsung is really getting better with every Update. Just Look at the old Speed test and you will notice that the Samsung is faster with OneUI 6 Than it was with OneUI 5.1

As an iphone 14 pro max user we can all say that samsung phones already caught up to iphones, especially the galaxy S line up. And i mean smoothness, cameras/videos etc. It was years ago that android lagged and had some hick ups but as we can see the improvement is immense. They are now so fast and silky smooth, while like always having so many extra features that iphone does not offer. Samsung has done a tremendous job with the S phones.

Shame on Apple for not having 120hz or at least 90hz on their entry level phones. Apple is wrong for this.

Great Content!!
Have the Galaxy S23 Ultra as my primary & the iPhone 12 Pro Max (purchased 2021) as my secondary device, as my use is simultaneous I can confidently say that due to the 120Hz refresh rate the Samsung is much smoother & snappier but credit where credit is due, the way the app opening & closing animate on the iPhone is what i find quite attractive. I will upgrade my 12 Pro Max with the 16 Pro Max or whatever the latest Apple flagship next year

We must pressure Samsung to optimize their animations even more including in the A series

Love your dedication and simplicity in these comparison videos. I will definitely be going for s23 due to its overall better performance as a one off, stand alone phone while the iphone is not only hard to find on sale, but also lacks alot of features, is a bit slower in booting up apps and has a big notch while not having a 120hz display, which has to be the biggest reason for me. Thanks buddy for the great video, god bless 👐🏻❤️

I have S23 base 256gb and 15 pro 256gb and I find my S23 to be faster, I can operate it much faster. The iOS slows it down for animation reasons but since switching I prefer the speed over the buttery animations

At this point i feel like the entry level Iphone is almost midrange, with last years chip and that horrible 60hz refresh

I have the samsung galaxy s23, its so well optimized for gaming, battery bypass (so it powers the soc) directly, samsung spend hours in optimizing the s23 for gaming with the, vapor chamber, and the powerfull snapdragpn gen 2 overclocked by samsung they did really well this year🎉🎉🎉

These types of tests were fun a few years ago when the iPhone was perhaps a bit faster and the Apple fan boys always thought that Samsung was a poor man's device. Funny enough, the Apple fan boys have to get used to the fact that Samsung is back and faster and better than ever with the S23 series and everything that comes from now on.

These speed tests are also not 100% accurate and guarantee faster speed, especially with apps that still have to connect to their own server outside of the phone itself. Apple has its own entire servers that connect to the servers of, for example, the Amazon or Starbucks apps. And you don't know if Amazon or Starback will adjust their server so that iOS or Android gets faster access. That will always differ, and with Samsung it is not only the app that loads the app lightning quickly, but also checks for any new information within the app. iPhone loads the app but it is not necessarily refreshed with the information.

Furthermore, the S23 is anyway faster than the iPhone for loading apps that need to retrieve little information outside the app itself. Especially the apps like games and editor and tools. These already have a large data installation on the s23 and it is a matter of which device storage technology is faster. In this case, if you have the 256GB, the S23 uses UFS speed which is very fast and certainly faster than the iPhone for loading apps that use native data instead of having to load data from the internet. So, in summary, you Apple iPhone fanboys have enjoyed themselves for a while, but accept that the real big boss has now arrived. And Samsung will dominate this market even more now with their own laptops, smartwatches and ecosystem to do everything with an account like Apple did with Apple ID.

Turning off battery optimization, apps and choosing quick-switching in memory guardian made s23 better in holding apps than default

Ecosystem aside, everyone who wants an amazing smartphone without spending 1k dlls, should buy the S23.

Samsung apps have 3 levels of battery management: Unrestricted, Optimised, Restricted.
All the apps default to optimised. That's why some apps get reloaded. You can long press each app and then go to it's battery settings and change it to Unrestricted so the system doesn't close the background apps in the test

Hey Nick love the video, Samsung has really improved the animations on one ui. Though I was wondering what your experience with One ui 6 has been like like, I've been getting some bugs the s23 U
