What happened to the previous Crown Contest winners? - Tales of Arise

This scene happens in the final dungeon of the game. Dohalim thinks he realizes what happened to the former Crown Contest winners after the boss fight. Since this is just his theory, and the game doesn't really give a better answer, its best just to guess this is what actually happens to the winner.
