Tongues & Teeth | Unfinished Desert Duo Animatic

I decided the other day that I don't think I'd ever fully finish this project but I spent too long on the animatic and boards to let it go unseen.

I discovered Life SMP a few months back when I first watch Grian's Double Life series. I immediately went to then watch him and GoodTimesWithScar in 3rd Life and Last Life and made this animatic with the intention to fully finish it one day. I haven't touched it in over a month now and my focuses are elsewhere. I've fallen too in love with the series as a whole to just focus on Grian and Scar now.

I love that opening scene. "Let's let the ghost count us in then" and then the music starts playing. Truly a work of art. It's really interesting that their relationship seems to get more cynical and painful as time goes on.

Even if unfinished i still got so so so hyped when they were singing will ruin you" and you show grian and then scar's perspective and and "i am not a vessel for your good intent" as Scar lights a match is SO GOOD and and and the dancing while their outfits change to represent each season Amazing It really encapsulates their chaos, mischief, and despite hurting each other they're still linked together

I love the fact in the thumbnail grian is holding a match and scar the dynamite. On their own, they can be quite harmless. Hell, the match is useful, even. But because theyre paired together they become nothing but destructive to each other and everyone around them.

LONG TANGENT COMING IN

The match, once lit, will burn out, and grian as the match who lights scar's tnt is so good because yeah he's helping scar but it will burn him out in the end. He'll flicker out and he'll do it quick.

Scar as tnt is self explanatory, once tnt explodes it leaves destruction in its wake and it dies (dissapears, gets used) with it. Grian is helping scar, but the way hes doing it (lighting scar's tnt with his match) means in the end all it will do is kill scar and everything and everyone around them.

Theyre mutually horrible for each other and simply the act of pairing up has caused them both mutually assured destruction, and theyre not just fine with that, theyre _happy_ with that. I adore that.

Even in the unfinished state, this animatic is so good!! I love the storyboard and the way you linked the entire Life Series and their dance at the end-- aghhhh

I haven’t seen anyone else talk about this but I love the detail that scar got his scars from grain blowing him up. I really love that detail
Another detail I’ve notice after like a year is that scars cape thing changed colors, at the beginning he’s cape is red and when he turned yellow it turned yellow.

When this came on, what was happening, so hearing the intro was already making me upset, and then tongues and teeth came on and I just started bawling
