When i was yong i had the red one! I loved electronics, so one day i had to look inside after the amplifier. It was one with an AC188/ AC 187 K. I wrote down the schematics and build one myself. Powered this amp without heatsink and with batteries. The more batteries, the louder the sound. (did'nt know everything of electronics then) So i bought more and more batteries of my pocket money. Until the wires of these transistors became radiating light (yes, really, i don't lie). Both transisors fell of the board en the music stopped. I grabbed my soldering iron, put them on again with less batteries and really it played again. Try this with the modern electronics! oh man, what a time. Must be around the 70's or early 80's.
Thank you for the video!

Just came across this video as I just found this record player and not sure if you have any tips for this but the speaker was working and it seems it got disconnected from the main player as you can’t hear anything anymore.

Hi, there! I just bought one from Catawiki, but with batteries. It works in general, but the base doesn't turn, I have to do it manually. Any ideas what the problem might be or where to look for a solution?

Can You Alter The Pitch On These Record Players ? I Bought Two Of Ebay The Blue One Works Fine But The Red One Has Some Speed Issue The Seller Said Remove The Turntable And Wipe With A Cloth I Did That But No Change I Could Not See Any Oil On The Inside Of The Turntable Or The Rubber Weel. So I Don't Know What The Issue Is. Could You Give Me Any Advice ?

Doesn't this turntable have a reversible needle - one for vinys and the other for shellac resin disc (78rpm) ?

Nice little record player .they were of their period for sure. But that's part of their charm.blue Danube is a great bit of old music.

Did that record player have a 78rpm stylus? Did not see one. Some Philips tone arms of the era had 2 stylus side by side, you simply twisted the front part to select either the 78 or microgroove.
