Honestly the scammers don’t bother me. They are trying to make a living and a lot of times its still cheap. Except the glasses they should have been $4 or $5. What I hate is the one’s driving around looking to snatch phones or bags out of hands. I was lucky enough to see it coming and jerked him off his bike. He ended up with a broken arm for his efforts.

Hi. Love your videos. I was born in VN but grew up in Australia. I have been back to VN many times. You both are too nice. I would have walk away and ignored them completely. These scammers attitudes especially that lady @7 minutes, so don’t feel bad if you ignore them 😊
FYI - average income for labourer in VN is 400k dong. Those sunglasses only cost them a couple of usd.

Say No thanks then let them go away. Like in Thailand, Philippines, other southeast Asia countries no matter what I have experienced to traveling. My understand and respect how poor people in Vietnam isn't about wealthy people. Please dont your haters and kindness😒😓

I’m an annual traveller to Vietnam due to family reason but friends always come along so I stay in district 1. The amount of scammers in that triangle formation of bui vien, war museum and opera house is bloody ridiculous

There are scammers in every city around the world. Technically, it is not a scam. It is up to you whether you accept the price for a service or a product. No body is forcing you to accept the product or service they offer. Always do your research. The title of your video is very misleading. This is the first time I watch a video from your channel and this is also the last time!!!

Just walk and put your hands 🙌 up and look straight ahead and don’t run 🏃‍♂️ or change your speed, then you might get hit

So many scammers it’s not funny there… u have to offer 1/4 of their asking price … if they say no, start walking away . Chance of them accepting is likely.

They need money and will accept around 1/4 of the price u ask.

Average daily wage there is around $150kvnd to give u an idea

By all means, get your contents and get your bags but if you take your time on those xích lô and go for that distance with 2 person on it and you will see how tough it is. If you’re going to travels and if the scam is not too harsh, open your heart and let it be. Their life is tough already, ain’t nothing funny about it. I don’t condone any types of scamming but don’t act all smart ass to them poor folks. 😂😂😂 go ahead and hate on my comments and call me bias or any kinda name😂😂😂

At which part were you scammed? Clickbaiters. Clout chasers.

How is this a scam? They have to earn a living and its likely hot out and the stuffy traffic makes it worse. Plus there is a language barrier where they dont understand the English that well and are trying to communicate but bargaining is different there than in US so they are unfamiliar with US style bargaining.

Look at here in US where lazy fast food workers want $20 an hour for standing at a counter and punching order button or for flipping a burger while they work in Air condition environment. These Vietnamese people are working hard, its hot and they have gas expense and the first guy didnt even finish his sandwich, but was patient. Instead of calling them scammers, why not give them a $10 bill or a $20, it wont mean much to you, but will make their whole day for sure. Just put yourself in their shoes, they likely have family with medical need or food need and times are tough, there is little time for game playing since they are focused on earning a living. Cheers to the hard working Vietnamese.

You're buying some services from some guy walking around the street and expect not to get scammed? You do this in your own country? Also, are you really going to bargain over pennies or even a couple of dollar?

How is price haggling a scam? I don't think "scam" means what you think it means. Do better.
