Every time a franchise that in no way lends itself to this formula goes "Tactics", it's an absolute banger. Just ask Onimusha or Gears of War.

Very keen for this. I have fond memories of playing Metal Slug on my NeoGeo. Great review. And yes I agree it does look like a Metal Slug game should. Great stuff!!!

Is this paid promotion? Why isn’t anybody shouting about the huge number of bugs in the switch version? Sounds doesn’t fit animations, tooltips remain on screen throughout entire battle, unclear who has remaining moves etc etc. release state is appalling. Very disappointed.

Love the artwork and presentation in this one, it’s unmistakably Metal Slug! As you say the devs have nailed the new isometric style. Helps that the game itself turned out quite well too! 👌🏻 Great review
