Did you do any marketing work before opening? Pass out any flyers, put a wacky inflatable flailing arm tube man out front? Push any promotions for a grand opening, or speak to neighboring businesses offering deals? You could get the coffee shop or something close by to advertise saying if you take your receipt to the barber next door get 10% off or something. Yes part of opening a business is opening the business, but a HUGE part of opening a business is getting people to know you have a business, and that it’s worth going to.

take it as a lesson on who you pick to be around you. Who’s an actual friend and who isn’t. Unfortunately there’s not much you can do about family, but atleast now you know who’s truly got your back. It sux but don’t press on it, instead use it as fuel to get business going and lowkey rub it on their faces. Let them see that they could’ve been a part of your success if they were just there for you.
