I've lived on Maui for 30 years. In the late 90's, I stopped at Ma'alaea and called 9 1 1 because a brush fire had started under the powerlines which go to Lahaina. They didn't show up and the whole valley side of the Pali (cliffs) went up in flames. I couldn't get home the way I went in. So, I'm very much aware of how the power lines do not anchor safely into the poles. The Olinda fire started by a tree knocking lines down. Security video at the crow sanctuary showed the sparks when the lines went down. That forest fire has filled my house with smoke 3x, tho' it is now contained. Not extinguished. I am grateful for what it is rather than what others have had to experience. May peace prevail.

Ooh, Mel, at 36;20, you mentioned the taxes that T has not paid on all those donations that he is using for legal fees. Even the money from his PACs shoudl be taxed if he is using them to pay his and others' legal fees. I say he is in big tax trouble. No one else is talking about that part and i've been saying it for a couple months. Glad to know you picked up on that too, because that's a very straight forward case.

Hi Mel and Linda G. I hope you're both doing well. My son lives in Van nays, Los Angeles California. His boss had him to go up into the mountains to get some patience, for rehab. While he was coming down the road. All of a sudden water appeared. It was gushing toward his car. So he turned the car around immediately and headed back the other direction. As he was driving down the road, a big baller fell from the mountain, in front of his car. But he was able to escape, and get back home. He was 4 hours from where lived in California. He was in the mountains at the time this all took place. I'm just thankful that my son and the people in the car with him, made it back safely.
I must be a empath, because all weekend long I could feel people's emotions. That were in these weather disasters. And all I could do was cry cry cry. So I had to end up, putting some crystals in my pocket that would calm me down. It's been a rough weekend. And I don't see the week ahead being any better.

Nice to see you both. Glad Sterling and his wife are Ok. Also you too Linda. If I had my choice, I'll take an Earthquake of a Tornado anyday, living through both . Tornados in Ohio growing up 18 yrs, then living in Simi Valley, California for 35 yrs. We went through the Northridge Earthquake and a few other's. Now in Lake Havasu, Arizona, with the hot summers. There was a 6.0 near Lake Tahoe, California also Sunday August 20th.
