RIP boosted, always wanted one but they too pricey
screamoXable
casey neistat blew up the boosted board. Just saying

Let’s be real here. There aren’t many people who’ll buy a skate board for damn near $1500...
TheCoolj
When you boards are the same price as a cheap motorcycle it’s hard to justify the price

Boosted boards died with Casey Neistat and Jesse Wellens’ popularity.

Boosted Boards are pure magic, something I always dreamed of as a kid. I truly hope someone decides to takeover the company and continue their work.
xCodeh
Costed way too much, other companies like Xiaomi was selling their E-scooter for like $300 so of course no one is going to buy boosted board
dsjc_
they got outperformed by boards for half the price, and they just didn't try to compete with them.

Elon-- time to make a quick purchase. and introduce the Tesla Boosted Board.
grfnprjx
Boosted are overpriced and under powered in my opinion, id rather get an evolve or one wheel there a little more expansive but the diffrence in quality is amazing.
loganfoster
It’s also because their boards are like 5 times the price as other boards that are just as good

I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a video from Casey Neistat on this.

When Sanjay left, the new, passionless CEO decided to support the super expensive scooter in a market where people are renting electric scooters for less than 10 bucks a day. No one was renting Boosted BOARDS. There was NOOO "cool factor" with the scooters. It's a beautiful build, but I RARELY saw Boosted Scooters on the NYC bike paths, I saw every other scooter. So, for Boosted to support that "failing" scooter so soon before the China Tariff war, it just knocked them down. Hopefully this isn't the end. I love my Mini-X. I'm an older, middle aged woman who uses it to travel around Manhattan and it's amazing. I really hope they can pull it together. P.S. About the scooter...IT'S FOURTY SIX POUNDS!! I struggle with the 17 pound Mini-X a little, but I can bring it into a restaurant, a store, a supermarket, etc. The Scooter is like a fold up bike, but it's a bit more of a responsibility than a board and I wouldn't even consider a 46 pound vehicle. That's not light.

When Boosted appeared on the market, they were by far the best product available. Great performance, amazing durability and top of the line customer support. As the e-vehicle market matured, other manufacturers began to catch up to that level of quality while boosted basically stayed the same. They tried to introduce a budget version of their board but it was still more expensive than what the competition had to offer. Also from my experience, getting it shipped to other countries was not a pleasant experience. Having a ~20% import tax on an already expensive product and on top of that, having to pay $100 shipping was what ultimately led me to choose a different board.
Boosted was often called "the Apple of electric skateboards" but unlike Apple, they didn't have the whole ecosystem of products to keep customers loyal to them.
Shame to see them go but unfortunately that's how competition works. If you don't adapt, you're gonna get beat
TheDJayblue
A Xiaomi is like 1/5th the price and does just as good, and when the battery gets really bad I can still buy 4 more for the cost of 1 Boosted
BobRossRightHand
Well they wanted almost much as a used car for one of these. I couldn’t justify $1200 for a dam skateboard.

The USA needs to ramp up automation so they can start manufacturing more in the USA.
Nonameyu
They were like $1k lmao of course they went out of business.

Holy crap hat is one professional setup/studio, like god damn, the giant light in the background, the lights above, the giant screen and everything inbetween, amazing!
Charlie-hvdh
They've always been too expensive so this is no surprise to me
