How to Use IsEven Function In Excel

In this Excel Function Explained video series, I will describe, how to use ISEVEN function in excel. It cascades under the information function category. Remember each function in the information category will provide you information. Processing that information is completely up to your need. Usually, we use nest these type of functions with if function for best result. The ISEVEN function is used to check if a cell value is an Even number or not. Using ISEVEN function, you’ll be able to return true and false result based on the cell value. It’s completely opposite of Is ODD function.
Let’s learn how to use ISEVEN formula in excel.
The Function looks like this = ISEVEN (Value)
The ISEVEN function has one parameter.
1. Value: This is where you provide a cell reference or a value. If it finds the value is an even number it will display true otherwise false.
Few things you should remember when you use this function.
1. You can directly insert value or cell reference as parameter.
2. It will display error if there is a text inside the argument.
This is how we use ISEVEN in excel. Remember, using ISEVEN function in excel you actually tell excel formula to return TRUE or FALSE based on the number we specify. Using this function, you’ll be able to find even numbers inside your range or even worksheets or workbooks.
