In July, Israel eliminated Hezbollah's senior commander Fuad Shukr. After this, Israel knew that Hezbollah would definitely retaliate. Before the Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah could attack, Israel carried out pre-emptive strikes in Lebanon. Basically, Israel wanted to neutralize the impending threat in advance. After these strikes, Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets and drones at Israel. However, the good thing is that there was no major damage on either side during these cross-border exchanges. And after this heavy exchange of fire, there were no signs of further escalation from either side. Both sides attacked each other and both claimed victory.
