Star Fox Zero - Final Boss & Ending (SPOILERS)

For those of you wondering why they only got Mission Complete, let me explain why.

SPOILERS BELOW

During the escape sequence, when James shows up and distracts Andross, you can actually do a U-turn and shoot Andross' weak spot, truly ending him. I actually got this on my first playthrough, and it felt genuinely satisfying to kick his ass like that.

I really like what they did with Andross in this fight. It looks like a combination of SNES Andross and N64 Andross.

When James shows up to distract Andross at the very end, do a U-Turn, it'll let you finish hit his weak point and finish him off.

So instead of fighting Andross' brain, you're fighting a Decepticon version of Andross? Granted, there was a robot Andross in the 64 game in the easy venom path but still, the final boss battle here looks underwhelming. there needed to be a sense of a near death experience and urgency to escape like the 64 version had when defeating andross and escaping his exploding lair with james Mccloud. For a re-reimagining of the game, it feels like they missed out on some things.

huh~ hearing that line about following orders from a dog from Andross was kind of neat, seeing as i watched Gaijin Goomba's video on the Japanese references on their lore. i think if anyone sees this comment, go check that out.

Maybe I'm nostalgia blind but I think I still like the n64 ending better, they way fox interrupted pepper in the original was always cool and I prefer having the pilots running to the chicken walkers at the sunset Although to its credit "Starfox, Move out" is a better line than "It's time for us to go now...."

Fun fact, in StarFox 64 you get paid 64 space dollars per unit. In StarFox Zero, you get paid TEN TIMES AS MUCH!
