Beautiful design is more user friendly? UX Design tips 7

Hey! After a short break we're back with another set of 5 design tips. What makes those UX / UI tips different is that we actually tested and/or used them in real products that we worked on over the years. This is not dribbble recycled tips, but instead something we know works for a particular scenario. They are UX Research based on at least 5K users in each case - some may seem obvious, but some obvious UX design choices can prove to be very unobvious to your users.

And of course no amount of design tips can make you a truly great designer - what you need is practice and validation of all your design choics - including the obvious ones. So design, test, iterate and start the process over and over. A great design is never 100% complete!

Thanks for all the tip videos. They are really helping me to improve my online portfolio. Would you recommend always using field labels and placeholders? I normally just use field labels because I thought having both might be confusing.
