Overcast Side Cutter Installation Instructions for Household Machines

The Overcast Side Cutter attachment which can be used to mimic overlock stitches on a portable household sewing machine.

This side cutter attachment fits all low shank household machines (needs to have zigzag capability)

*This demonstration was performed on a Hara 680 household machine.

The overcast design varies for different machine brands but the essence is the same - Widest zigzag stitch without knocking the tongue of the foot attachment.

For older models such as the Singer 1288/ 974 (Contessa) you could use the disk for the overcast stitch or in case you don't have it, you could use a basic zigzag pattern with the highest width.
