For forty years, I thought I was the only one who noticed Dan Ackroyd throwing Easy Cheese and not Cheese Whiz.

Loved the video, never questioned what was in the cheese other than hoping that it had... well.. cheese 😅

I don't know what's worse the fact that they sell this kinda of chemical shit or that we buy it

Welsh rarebit is more than just cheese on toast! Do not disparage my food! And you do _not_ use processed cheese for making it, you need Caerfili cheese and Worcestershire sauce. What a bloody cheek!

Interesting. I grew up in UK (1960s, 70s, 80s), but dont remember ever seeing Cheez Whiz. 🤔 Perhaps it didnt percolate to my part of the country

when I noticed the 'is there actually cheese in cheez whiz' video was 10 mins long, It made me fear that it would take 'em 10 minutes to pronounce the chemical they use instead of it.

9:38 maybe if he ran for president now, ordering Philly Cheesesteak with swiss cheese wouldn't be controversial because processed cheese is demonized now.

"Technically doesn't contain any real cheese at all"
This is why we need labeling reform, if something is advertised as being a thing, an intentional typo shouldn't get them out of how water. If I made a gaming company and called it Mimtendo ain't no way the Nintinja's going to allow that, they'll sue me out of existence before you can say Mario.

I'm not saying you should be allowed to sale random synthetic BS, but if it's a "cheese like product" it should have to be clear. In "Cheez Whiz" case I think we should have a mandatory label require in which "Contains no actual cheese" or "contains x% of actual cheese" should be required and it should have to be in the same size font as the largest font on the packaging to make sure it's prominently displayed. This is why europeans make fun of us and they're right to do so. This is straight up misrepresentation, it's FRAUD.

I hate to burst people's bubbles yet cheese is made from fat which is oil. Either way you get cheese from oil regardless if it is animal oil or plant oil. Cheese wiz is a process in which cheese is made such as in block form or liquid form. If you were to break down the ingredients of cheese all of that would be included in the ingredients. While you could make cheese wiz with block cheese it would still include much of the same ingredients.
To be honest I have not used cheese wiz since the 80s or maybe the 90s. Cheese sauces/dips come in so many brands that I have not see a glass jar of cheese wiz in ages. I do not even recall the last time I have seen it.

I have always been hesitant to use Cheese Whiz. Where I grew up, whiz had been tied to the act of urinating. Cheese pee just sounds nasty.

Singles were considered a luxury and were never bought in our household. Cheese sandwiches started with opening a jar of Whiz and hoping it wasn't so cold (we kept it in the fridge) that it would tear the bread up rather than spreading. Melting it was never even considered an option.
