Ice is a greatsword. Greatswords were used historically. Simple as that. Is not some weapon that could only be used by big people. Think about it. If a weapon was so big and so heavy that only big people could use it, then big people wouldn’t use that weapon either because they would get tired after using it. Greatswords were about 4 pounds. Being Valyrian steel, Ice would be around the same weight if not lighter. Anybody can use Ice. The issue is that its length makes it more cumbersome to use it on horseback. Plus if you are a Lord of a noble house, you’d be a dumbass to take your ancestral sword into battle.

valyrian steel is lighter than normal steel but it's still a heavy sword and it's actually more like a ceremonial sword that only used for executions.

If you look closely, you'll see some of the details around the hilt are different from Game of Thrones.
Personally I prefer the simpler bronze fittings on the Game of Thrones sword
