King coal!

Had a great chat with Nigel Farage today at the site of Silverhill Colliery in Ashfield.
This pit will always have a special place in my heart.
We must hang on to what bit of heavy industry we have left.
Once it's gone it's just a memory.

Remembering the miners who list their livelihoods, and keeping in mind the Scunthorpe crisis, it's not just the direct labour, or even having our own industrial resources that matter, but also the 1000s of other jobs and people who rely on the money steel workers spend across the local economy.
