I don't know why we are afraid of playing passes in the middle, whenever we get the ball either we play it on the wings or backwards even teams like Afghanistan are capable of playing defence splitting passes. I think we need to play Brandon and sahal together to overcome this at least against lower rank opponents.

I was Yelling at the screen when Brandon and Sunil were Subbed!. Pure stupidity. The players brought on as replacement of Sunil and Brandon made the game look more unstable. Brandon's last minute beauty corner against Bangladesh was proof why he sould be played till the 90th minute.

There is a problem with defence. For possesion football, u need fullbacks with good passing and dribbling skills. Need to play Seriton and Akash Mishra. The central defence is good.The central midfield is very good.The inverted wingers are disastrous.The forward Manveer is a Kabaddi player. Need to improve on wings

Disappointed to hear that you consider the substitutions as bad decisions. Brendon had been marked by 2 AFG defenders and he was not able to contribute anything meaningful. We needed apuia as CB to defend the 1 goal lead. Probably Chettri should have played 90mins and Liston should have replaced Manveer right from the start. Manveer has been horrible in all 3 matches and should have never been in the team. If only Akash and Liston had started from the beginning instead of sibashish and Manveer, things would have been different.

AIFF should plan for a coach who knows indian football from its grass root and gave sufficient time(4-6 yrs) to prove him with detailed improvement target. We have good indian coaches and foreign isl coaches also who are working with indian players from past few years.
