Why I Didn’t Buy the Get Back Blu Ray

Why I decided to pass on the physical release of The Beatles Get Back, plus an update on what’s coming up on the channel.

$90 for the DVD in Australia. I'll cancel my Disney Plus, after my 3rd viewing. Not much else to watch, on it !

Well I don't subscribe to disney plus, apart from 1 month in order to watch the documentary. I haven't bought the dvd either as I'm holding off in the hope there will be an expanded edition later, which I'm sure there will be.

Totally get your reasons. ive watched it a few times on Disney+ so I also need some space before I watch the blu-ray - so its dust collecting for my copy for now. looking forward to the stuff you have coming up on the channel.

I DID buy this, but that's because I'm not usually a Disney+ user. It is a bare bones/least effort release though and, like most of us I guess, the lack of any extra material is a big disappointment. Here's hoping the director's cut is coming!

Hi Matthew i'm right with you on this bare bones Well cash grab & will wait on the rumoured 18 hour Peter Jackson directors cut even he said is ready for release!! It's a cartain future box set with all-sorts of extras including the original Get Back movie & an audio only of the rooftop concert! It'll cost a fortune no doubt but bring it on!!!!

I didn’t buy the Blu Ray but did buy the DVD. And don’t hold your breath for a Jackson director’s cut.

I bought it but I understand why others didn't get it! The thought of it possibly being double dipped bothers me but I've bought many films and albums multiple times and when it all comes down to it I'm just a stubborn physical release guy!

I bought it. We have to support physical media. We might get deluxe someday but only if this was sells and Disney sees the merit in releasing an expanded version. Disney sucks!

Hey Matthew, those are definitely good reasons to hold off in purchasing Get Back. I cancelled my Disney Plus when I found my husband and I weren't watching it much ( no kids) so I went ahead with the deluxe copy. Love the packaging they used so if you ever get one I would choose the deluxe blue ray. Looking forward to your future videos. Take care !

I've seen Get Back film and it was great film. Far superior to the original Let It Be film.
