That sounds like a lot, but then factor in things like orbiting a stable star within a habitable zone, having a magnetic field, a moon to stabilize a planet's rotation - and that big number shrinks significantly. It's still a big number though, but there are a lot of factors to our being here, many that we haven't yet identified. The universe is a wondrous place.

If they don't have In-N-Out Burger, there's no point in stopping by. 🤣

Of the millions of species that have existed on earth, only humans have developed technology, and only very recently. While life may be not extremely rare; intelligent life may be much more rare. It is interesting to speculate on an intelligent species far in advance of our own. Perhaps a planet with several biologically distant intelligent species? Or one that has developed culture but is locked into a Stone Age as their planet had no fossil fuels or accessible metal ores? We may never know if we never develop interstellar flight.

The intellectually honest answer is we don't know. I would like to think there is.

Yes it’s non rational to think we are the only ones or even special in some way. I lack of technology to reach out is the issue.

those are just earth sized planets that dosent account for if it has an atmosphere or how far away from its star it is

....and if on the other hand everybody accepted that there was life everywhere in the Universe, and there is no evidence for it, How ridiculous would that be 💙👽👍

I’m not sure why this guy thinks being alone in the galaxy is ridiculous. We know nothing about the ratio of possible planets to possible life on those planets. Zero.

Expect Ai or cyborg alien since they live for thousands of years needed to travel between stars - they don't need air or food

No, we are not alone and they are even down here with us, and have been since before we had cities

Sure, there may be other planets orbiting stars with some of the same characteristics as earth, but how many have evolved to the point where they can support intelligent life capable of interstellar travel? Earth has been around for about 5 billion years, but it hasn’t been able to support intelligent life until very recently. Factor in five mass extinctions, and you’ll begin to appreciate just how tenuous life really is.

The great paradox, we calculate at least thousands of not millions of advanced civilizations aught already be waiting for us in the galaxy ... well if thats the case, they are super sneaky, all of them, consistently ... yeh, paradox.

Seeing is believing right there how come we don’t see no other intelligent lies or alien civilization with that being said, how can you say this?

What does it matter!? What useful purpose could we serve and use the skills and finances on that are wasted on feeding these rediculous theories and meaningless ideas that will never benefit anyone or anything in our world. What in all this knowledge you have gained has helped or benefitted anyone in our world!? This is a waste of our resources, including our time.

We may never know unless we can travel ar the speed of light and that not only is probably unlikely it's still slow given the distances needed to travel to look, unless Web finds the jackpot!
