Dr. Strange is single handedly the most powerful character in the MCU. He can manipulate space and time being a sorcerer supreme and he can teleport where ever he wants. The MCU is postponing Dr. Strange 2 because they need him to play a bigger role in Phase 4 and his story is not over yet.
