In this video I experiment with 3D printing flexible filament over fabric.
It can be done with tight knit fabrics like t-shirts and denim. The end result is some flexible coasters and a denim wallet.

Do you think you could elaborate on how to use NinjaFlex with a standard Lulzbot extruder? I can't tell what you mean by sticking in a piece of filament here :)
