I Taught My Girlfriend How To Fly!!

Turns out, the radio's volume was set too low. Through the entire flight I was on the radio telling her to add power and climb. We figured she either couldn't hear us, was freaking out, or something was wrong with the engine. Eventually, she set up for a landing and could hear me clearly after the throttle was reduced. She did an awesome job!

Excellent job Tucker on the training and getting her airborne. Watching all the attempts with the motor on her back brings back so many memories of me doing the same exact thing in very hot weather. Keep up the great work Jaclyn and enjoy the sweet freedom of flight! You have an awesome coach!

I got my first wing yesterday and went out to practice kiting twice now. After that and watching J take her first flight I was EXTREMELY excited for her! I cant wait to get my skills up enough to purchase my motor and start flying!

Loved it!! Showing the hard work involved in getting started is exactly what people need to see. Like anything else in life, anything worth doing requires practice and work.

seriously? what up with the thumbs down and negative comments???

This video was amazing to see. people need to remember that the rest of the population WANTS to do things like this and there wasn't anything bad in this video. great job!!!!

What is good about this video is, it shows the reality of early flights. The glider doesn't go up straight most of the time and you have to abort and kill the motor (if you don't have a clutch) before the strings fall into the prop. All the other teachers show a successful launch on the first try.

'How was your first flight?' 'It was great' great!!? not exactly gushing with enthusiasm is she!? That surely has to be one the best feckin experiences you can have! I'd have been babbling on for half an hour!

Ever consider professional teaching? This way I won't have to go all the way to Florida

She's so DAMNED ADORABLE in that final run there- well I mean, not as in face etc, but you just see this person trying real hard - running along, it looks kind of silly but it's also like learning to walk. I've never done this but she has encouraged me. Thanks Tucker Gott and Jaclyn for sharing this effort, it truly looks like a remarkable experience to have in this world while we are here for such a short time.

loved watching her fly. wish she would've seemed more excited though. I think I was more exited for her then she was.

I still think you get more views when Jaclyn flies. She inspires all of us newbies to the sport.

OMG!!! I'd be stoked on my first flight without incident! She was so emotionless! Lol good job nonetheless! Your channel is making want to lean to fly a paramotor damn bad!
Great channel, great flying, great editing and you seem like a rad dude! Props from Montreal, Canada! Keep the vids coming! Cheers!

it's like WE ALL are more excited than SHE was!! Come on, Jaclyn, let it loose, girl...surely you've got to be more excited about this accomplishment than surviving your ride in Tucker's car out to the airport...but we can't tell any difference in your level of emotion between those two rides!! ;~)

You both had incredible patience with one another.... Good sign..

She has the aura of a kidnap victim. As if she's been forced to do this but really would be rather be at home watching Netflix.

I thought that was the most informative video I've seen of yours. I learnt a lot more by looking at the paragliding in the sky and hearing your commands from the ground. Although I couldn't hear the moment that you said to "flair braking" which was a shame.
sometimes POV isn't best for instruction I think.
I appreciate your efforts, cheers.
