Dominican Republic Earthquake | 4.0 magnitude earthquake rocks Santiago de los Caballeros

A magnitude 4.0 earthquake near Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, was reported by United States Geological Survey (USGS), considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in this part of the world.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 32 km beneath the epicenter early morning on Friday, July 15th, 2022, at 4:53 am local time.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.0 earthquake as well.

Light shaking probably occurred in Santiago de los Caballeros, located 13 km from the epicenter.
