Friday Morning is a love song, written and recorded at the remote farm in Burton, Texas where Khruangbin got its start. To commemorate the song, the band asked their closest friends and family to record messages of love to each band member. The music video is a portrait of the band hearing these audio recordings for the first time, capturing on film the emotions one feels when they hear just how loved they are; a poignant and heartfelt expression in a time where, as a collective whole, we need to hear and express love more than ever.

I just lost my stepdad a few days ago and this song is the exact representation of all the emotions I was experiencing while he was in the Verge of leaving this earth 😢. It's truly an emotional rollercoaster, one minute you try to be happy and just focus on all the good memories, the next your faced with the realization that there's nothing that could be done. I'm truly heartbroken he's gone forever, but at the same time I'm also glad he's freed from all the pain. May his soul rest in peace 🙏

In my opinion this is their masterpeice. It isnt as famous as some of their other tracks, but this one is a true exploration of loneliness, nostalgia, longing, serenity, humility and perhaps a bit of sadness. Amazing

I love how they're a mainly instrumental band. And if they use voice, it's more about the sound and melody than the words. That's universally appealing. Apparently they craft and sing any lyrics as all three members together. I love that too. I've never listened much to lyrics I always focus on melody in the voice.
