What Do The Masked Fools & The Family Want On Penacony [Part 2] | Honkai Star Rail Lore

There are quite a few factions on penacony from the masked fools to the family to even the remembrance and each of them have their own goals they are looking to achieve. In this video, im going to discuss what some of those factions endgoals might look like beyond penacony 2.0. More specifically im going to discuss what the masked fools and the family want on penacony

In this video ill be focusing on the masked fools and sparkle as well as the family. Now of course we dont yet know what will happen in star rail 2.1 and beyond so this will largely be a speculation video. Some of the things I cover might happen or it might turn out to be completely different so keep that in mind. So what exactly are the endgoals of each of the factions on Penacony?

Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Honkai Star Rail lore.

Two details that I found interesting:

1. Sparkle is the one that gives us the quest for the Dream Ticker puzzles that give us Eerie Blocks, leading us to the Bizarre Tape.

2. In Sparkle's character introduction on HoyoLab, it is stated that Sparkle bought out an entire store of music boxes and plans on creating a "stage." Incidentally, music boxes were also used in inviting the various factions to Penacony.

So whether it's the Watchmaker who hired her or not, it's pretty clear Sparkle seems to know the entire "truth" of Penacony already, and seems to be on the Watchmaker's side of things - at least for now.

Its pretty interesting how each faction has their own agenda

I don’t know if anyone has really noticed this yet, but the first few seconds of sparkle’s trailer are very interesting. If we really step back for a second and look at what is happening, doesn’t it remind you of a very specific scene in the story? We have a first person perspective, with someone holding a glass, swirling around the drink inside, while also inside a hotel room in the bath. This is the exact same place robin was in when she “died”, and the way the glass is being used is the exact same way robin used the glass near the beginning of the white night music video, when she is sitting in the car. Now let’s think about the point of the trailer. The gun is full of blank confetti, with the final shot being used at the end on a version of sparkle. Wouldn’t that mean that the shots that come before were all blanks, and she shot Robin with a fake? Idk it’s just something I noticed from it..

So I don't know if you saw it, but HSR made a post about emanators recently, linked on their twitter and found on hoyolab. I think that post is so major that speculating about penacony story without having read it is like walking in a dark room without a flashlight. The parts regarding Nihility, Preservation, and Harmony pretty much clue you in on what's likely going to happen in 2.1 and 2.2, as well as the nature of a few key characters. I could be wrong, of course, but I loved reading every word of it and I'll spread it wherever I can.

My theory is that the family has recently been doing things on penacony to gain followers in a way xipe doesn’t like however xipe can’t use their powers in a way that goes against harmony

so they need outsiders help to remove or change the people in charge sparkle is hired to help cause chaos to make it harder for the family to tell what’s going on and the astral express is there to actually solve the current issue

Personal theory based on the title of the video, the Stellaron hunters, IPC, the masked fools, and the family are after the strange gem adventurine was holding in the trailer of 2.1, from the looks of it, the IPC (or just adventurine himself cuz he's the bad guy here) got to it first, how I see it, each of the faction has their own reasons on how they will use the strange gem thing, the stellaron hunters need it for elio's script, the IPC for obvious reasons, *GREED*, the family for whatever reason (probably for a performance or protecting their dignity), and the masked fools for pulling off the biggest prank the universe has ever seen, as for the trailblazer, they might inherit the gem to obtain the path of harmony

I’ve been wondering this for a while, just how dangerous is sparkle? She can take the form of anyone she wants, while also manipulating people, so she must be very dangerous and maybe we’re gonna fight and possibly kill her at some point
