Dam. Their truck has been down for 3 years because someone wasn't paying attention when hooking the connectors back up. Good job figuring out the problem

As an avionics tech, I cant tell you how many times a week long troubleshooting effort reveals something as stupid as this as the culprit and when you tell the next shift what it was, everyone is pissed off and calls you a liar.

I paid $1500 for a truck with about $15, 000 worth of new parts on it because the guy couldn't get his project to run and wanted it gone. I swapped the fuel lines around and she fired right up lol

That’s rough 😂 did an engine swap and then sat for 3 years just because a couple of plugs were swapped

I'm reminded of a '86 Mustang I bought once. Guy was selling it because it wouldn't start. I popped the hood looked and then dropped the hood. Confirmed the seller only wants $350 for it. I paid him and got the title. Then I popped the hood again and turned the battery around and it started right up. Noot sure why it didn't fry the ECU. Funny thing was, the guy was an electrician.

I bought a nice Pontiac Grand Prix once, the engine had a bad miss, they told me it needs an engine. I towed it home and found two crossed spark plug wires. Swapped them back and "Vroom". Fixed.

That's one extremely happy customer right there!

Back to basics....check check and check again because it's easy to forget something or skip a step when you balls deep in a project

Well done. Observations and a solid diagnostic routine are key to successful diagnostics leading to a correct repair.

I had a customer from B&T come in, was told they needed a whole fuel system.
Nope, pins pulled out the c130 and loose ecm connections. Harness wasn't in their budget, but some pins and zipties were...

Just graduated from auto tech school and these videos always makes me smile because it's always the littlest things for so much work.

Wow, what a bone head mistake. We’ve all been there at one point but most of us keep digging until we find the issue. Hope you didn’t kill their wallets and their egos 🤣

Had a 3.3 no start...
Some guys changed the engine.
The crank sensor and tps were swapped..
Older 1.9 liter vw diesel have 2 identical connections at the engine shutdown valve. When in the wrong places the valve doesn't allow any air into the intake manifold 😊😊

I had a guy buy a used good trans from me then complained it wouldn't shift. Before I could go over and confirm he sold the truck. He didn't have output speed sensor all the way in. Great work
