I like this! Could definitely use it. Reminds me of a fiber optic splicer. Love the inspection quality assurance check point before continuing.

The demo may be more effective with two separate colors being merged. Maybe Gray and White?

Clever evolution of the PET machine. I will check the new version for sure. Have you got some data about printing successes with this prototype? How many fail/success ratio in long 3d prints (without clogs due to the splice junction of the filament). Beautiful work Igor, thankyou

Very cool, good sir! This would be extremely handy as I generally avoid near empty spools for any sort of print that needs to be cosmetically pleasing. As good as filament runout works, there is almost always a noticeable defect in the print where the swap happened, whether a misaligned layer, a slight underextrusion, whatever. I'll subscribe to see when the kit comes out. I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to make a PLAwelder variant?

Amazing design. I know it'll probably be prohibitively expensive but it'd be nice to use the 8+ rolls of "is that enough for a print?" I'll be watching the progress, nice.

Bonjour, et encore merci pour vos vidéos. Je viens de monter la machine que je viens d’acheter le le Manuel est très bien expliqué pas de problème mécaniquement tout va bien j’ai un seul souci c’est avec les fins de course d’entrée et sorties du PLA très difficile à régler, peut-être à cause de la bille est-ce que vous avez une solution ou est-ce que vous envisagez de changer ce système de fin de course entrer et sortie de filament.
