This takes right back to when I was a child in the 60s & our English teacher, Miss Barry, (no 'Ms.' back then), would read to we kids, a couple of chapters of 'A Christmas Carol' each afternoon before school finished for the day, in the run up to Christmas. We'd sit in a semi-circle round her feet & look up at her awe as she read, emulating each character's voice.Thing of it was, throughout the rest of the year she a stern old biddy, but when she read to us it was like she was a wholly different person!

Thanks so much for this video! I've been asked to re-read this book before my exam and with all my revision I haven't really got time so this has filled in the gaps just before i go to bed and helped me to revise and read the book at the same time. Thanks so much! :D

Very cool! Great for the blind and great for the lazy - too tired to read after working all day - one could lie down and listen to a book! ha

A fair effort. Thank you. If you guys do another audiobook, I'd push the emotional content up a notch.

May your Christmas be most merry with no Bah!! nor Humbug!!

Ah but you haven't seen Arnold Schwarzenegger's version.
Arnie is Scrooge, Ray Winston is Tiny Tim, John Claude Van Dam is Bob Cratchet.
It has machine guns and stuff.
It's awesome man, awesome!

This is WONDERFUL!! I've SEEN countless versions of A Christmas Carol(Alistair Sim, Albert Finney, George C Scott, Patrick Stewart[my favorite Scrooge btw], even 'modern' versions(Susan Lucci, Henry Winkler, Vanessa Williams)but I've never read or heard Charles Dickens original vision ... Thank you so much for posting this, I've definately becomea subscriber!

A Christmas Carol is a novella by English author Charles Dickens first published by Chapman & Hall on 19 December 1843. The story tells of sour and stingy Ebenezer Scrooge's ideological, ethical, and emotional transformation after the supernatural visits of Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.

Try closing your eyes, relax and let the audio read you the book, like your parents should have when you were younger. Do this a chapter at a tine, and see if you like it better.

Sounds like Charles Darwin (as in the Darwin Awards) is more your speed. I nominate you for an Honorable Mention.
