btw wulzy, 2.2 introduces a channel system to organize when triggers activate
Basically you can set triggers and activatable objects to a certain channel in the edit-group menu on the bottom right (i dont do it much with pads and stuff but triggers and speed portals nearly always need a designated channel), and you can use arrow triggers to change the current channel
The triggers will only activate when you're in the current channel, which removes the need for everything to be touch-triggered
You can also set the current channel in the start-pos for playtesting (the startpos is the main reason why speed portals almost always need a channel, as the sync would be off without it)

I thought you had to touch trigger everything at first too, but if you go into the gameplay direction trigger and change the channel of the scene, triggers you use after that will work if you change their channel in the bottom right of the edit group menu. Hope that helps someone!

hey Wulzy, in the particle editor, you can press the 1 2 and 3 buttons above the preview to quickly change basic things like gravity, speed, angle, and the spawn area. it saves a lot of time and gives a clearer vision of what you need. if you're curious, the c button let's you customize the preview background.

Tip: if you use a camera guide trigger, it does nothing, but if you put a group, then attach a static trigger, then the guide trigger kinda acts as a guide (get it??) Also if you click edit object on the guide trigger, you can adjust the zoom. I don't really know if this exists, or if any of this info is even true, because I used it it the 2.2 GDPS, and it's so useful. So you should probably try it.

6:17 There is a trigger named "Mode" and you can activate free mode when you click "Edit Object"

I think the gameplay direction changes, camera controls, and new trigger logic possibilities are going to be huge for gameplay. If nothing else was added those would still revolutionize gameplay.

true building gameplay in 2.2 is just amazing (put yellow orbs on swing copter they're so wicked also dash orbs are funny)

You should check out the edit song and timewarp triggers, they are so fun to play with, I tried beating stereo madness at 12 speed on edit song and 2.00 on time warp. At these settings the song and the level sync but it was so fast i didn't manage to beat it.
