This is part of a series of simple, sometimes-festive but always-cosy videos to take us all the way through December, up to Christmas Day.

(*Except this advent calendar series, which is not on Early Access, because advent calendars need to be a surprise!)

This advent calendar series has been one of the highlights of the season for me. And by the looks of it, many of your other viewers, too. What a fantastic idea.

Every time you do a kitchen video I admire Jenny’s tiling…. And you make me hungry. I was craving roast potatoes all day yesterday. Now I need hot chocolate too. This calendar is very bad for me.

You are going to need a break after this advent series…it has been most enjoyable I must admit it’s the best advent I have ever had! Feel like a kid looking forward to each new day. Many thanks for your hard work both of you ❤

Your advent calendar has been so thoughtfully presented that I’m delighted to open it daily and enjoy the Christmas spirit it evokes 🎄

Thank you for repeating the cherry brandy bottle cork sensory moment. That and the balloon whisk moment brought a smile on a dull, damp and blustery morning.

My wife is Puerto Rican, and for Christmas every year, she makes something a little similar to eggnog called coquito. It's got evaporated milk, condensed milk, coconut cream, coconut milk, sugar, cinnimon, and rum. No eggs, and no cooking, but it is fantastic. Coconutty, boozy, sweet and delicious. Every family in PR has their own recipe with their own ratios, and the argument over which rum to use runs generations deep. You should give making it a try, I think you'd like it.

That cork pop was so perfect it's almost comical.

Today is one year anniversary since we had to say goodbye to Mr. Davis Bon (his first death at least)

May he rest in peace

Never tried cherry brandy, but I love blackberry brandy. When I go for winter hikes I fill my flask with it and at good spots to sit for a spell I have a few swigs and just enjoy the outdoors. Your drink looks outstanding, hope you and Jenny got to sit by the fire and enjoy it!

It's going to be a sad day whenever this advent calendar finishes up. Mr. Shrimp is spoiling all of us with these daily videos!!

Funny story! I heard of people putting spices in their hot chocolate so I tried my luck last weekend and I did something very close to your recipe. We are vegan, so instead of milk, cream and eggs, I put a bit of starch in my oatmilk to thicken it, same spices (except ginger) but amount might have varied a bit. And I remarked that it tasted a bit like eggnog and added a dash of amaretto. Felt very festive :D
Lidl has a brand of oatmilk that has close to zero oat flavor, so if you want to cheat a bit (no risk of burning the milk, no tempering, just jug it all in the pot), I can highly recommend it!

Another nostalgic moment here.... When I was a child, my mom sometimes treated me with real homemade hot chocolate, and it was always done with cream and milk mix, and with eggs. And with some whipped cream on the top. - It was far better than the O'boy or Nesquik with just milk. - I think I'll have to treat myself with this here during the holidays. Thanks for a reminder! 🍵❄
