Grandpa's Korean vegetable pancakes✨hope you enjoy the video! Let me know if you have any questions :)

RECIPE:

For the Pancakes:
-1 Cup Flour
-1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
-1 Cup Water
-1 Cup Leek Greens, sliced thin
-1/2 Cup Carrot, grated
-3 Scallions, sliced in 1” pieces
-1/2 Cup Red Cabbage, sliced in thin 1" strips
-1 Jalapeño, seeds removed sliced in thin 1” strips
-2 Tbsp Avocado Oil

For the Sauce:
-2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
-1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
-1 tsp Water
-1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
-1 tsp Sesame Seeds

1. Mix together the flour, salt, and water
2. Add the veggies and mix until combined
3. Mix together the ingredients for the sauce and set aside
4. Preheat a large pan over medium and add the avocado oil; scoop 1/4 cup batter per pancake and flatten slightly with a spatula; cook 2-3 mins per side until golden brown and then place on a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil
5. Dip in the sauce and enjoy!

20 minute total prep + cook time

Recipe makes ~10 small pancakes

Loved this video. I am going to the Asian market this week, one of the things I always pick up is Korean chives for pancakes. Never thought about the cabbage so I am adding that to my next batch.
My moms name was Youn Ja Pak but they pronounced it to Yang cha! She hated it but she did what she had to get along. Reminded me when you mentioned your grandpas name. 😊
The jalapeños…I don’t know about you but I cannot cut into one without having a coughing/sneezing fit. The capsaicin damn near kills me every time! Love’em but I have to leave ‘em alone 😤

No mater what type of veggies in it i like them with beans sprouts and top it with shrimps, tofu. Dip it in soysauce vinegar little sugar, lots of garlic, green onions, sesame oil and walla yummy

After exploring new ways to eat, I stumbled on your channel and the first recipe I literally just made is this, and oh my, it is delicious!!! Self raising flour, or a touch of baking powder makes them fluffier, rather than crispy.
