Reminds me of a funny story I heard on the podcast Cerebro. I think it was an episode with Stephanie Williams on where she admitted that, as a kid, when she was told to recite some poetry for school, she copied off the monologues of Storm and passed it off as poetry by Maya Angelou.
And it was weeks later after it was submitted, probably after her teacher babysitting some relatives’ kids and had to watch some of the cartoon with them, that her teacher called her out on it but just told her not to do it again,
