I know people may disagree but I honestly adore this set. I respect that CO is on a much tighter budget this year and it's so good to finally have the holographic 9th Doctor and the disco dancing Rose figure is just pure childhood nostalgia.

I can imagine this and the 13th Doctor set on the shelves for ages, because I doubt people would buy them unfortunately.

I thought the Tenth Doctor set was the worst this year but then you go ahead and make this. I'm not a fan of the hair on the new 9th doctor head, and I'd rather have been a repaint of the New Earth Rose figure, I know she's wearing a different jacket in the episode but I'm sure there's some comic somewhere they could have modelled it off.

The doctor wore a navy blue jumper in aliens of London, purple was in empty child. We've had an attempt at that blue one before, which came out looking a little purple, but I think this is the first intentional attempt at that purple jumper

I like both 9th Doctor headsculpts to be honest. But I hope they don't get rid of the old one, I do also profer the original. Don't like that they gave him blue jeans tbh. But other than that, this is actually a really nice set.

The smirking head is nice, but I feel that it doesn’t look as much like Chris then the older head, I think it needs more lines on his forehead. This could just be because I’m used to the older body.

I honestly think the new 9th Doctor headsculpt is a really bad likeness.... looks very little like Chris, especially when compared to the old headsculpt. The jacket, likewise, looks too smooth to me and less detailed, but they did a good job with the colour and the way it fits, like you said.

Superb review as ever! I wasn't actually sold on the new head till I saw the review, I always thought the original was brilliant but the new one really does look nice, and very nice they've gone for a different expression too. Lovely to get the holo 9 at last, Rose is... that Rose, but I guess, it's something different at least..

I completely agree about the leather texture on the jacket, but it does make me think, where they trying to mimic the stunt jacket? I think Chris only ever wore it once and beyond having different lapels, kind of looked more glossy from memory?

We also actually still have one other ninth doctor variant left! Fairly sure he wares a dark blue t shirt in The Unquiet Dead, which I was really hoping for from this set, might be nice to pair with a Gelth phantom re-release someday.. Rose's hoodie, and I couldn't believe this but it really is true, isn't based on the Rose/EOTW one, but a very similar one for the last few minutes of WW3/first few of Dalek, it's light grey and bright red with the correct cut off between the colors under the arms

So the outfit Rose is wearing is actually super accurate to one she wears at the end of WW3- she only wears it for maybe 2 minutes overall so the other hoodie design would make more sense but hey

I prefer the Ninth Doctor’s old head sculpt. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t resemble Christopher 🙁

I have the tenth doctor hologram, however I don't think it has the stripes (I live in the UK and we got it in the UK so that's why)
and in my opinion the old ninth doctor action figure looks better than the new one in head sculpt, not in coloring.

Seeing images online of Nine wearing a brown jacket with purple jumper. I think its a Big Finish promo. Thinking maybe the brown jacket is meant to emulate the war weathered jacket of the War Doctor

Amazed to see the figure still going strong? I think that's you just being nice to the people who have given you a free figure set because that Rose being released in 2022 is, it's just sad I'm sorry.
