Doodly version 2.8.0 is now available and includes some great new features.

Here are a few of the new things we're most excited about:

Alignment of assets — No more eyeballing center! Align one or more assets to the left, center, right, top, middle, and bottom of the scene, or distribute them horizontally and vertically with a couple of mouse clicks.

Lock an asset in place — Once locked, underlying characters, props, or text can't be accidentally moved, resized, or deleted.

Asset erase delay — You can now control exactly when the asset starts to erase.

Change the delay and duration of multiple assets at once — Save time by making changes to multiple assets in one go.

Other improvements include a new context menu (settings, lock, and delete) in the right panel, the addition of sound effect duration times inside the asset settings dialog box, and various bug fixes.

How to Get Doodly v2.8.0

Unlike previous releases, v2.8.0 needs to be downloaded and installed.

I know it’s an extra step, but it should be a one-time process, and future Doodly updates will be automatic as before. Rest assured, all of your files and settings will be preserved.

Does Doodly have the ability to group assets? It would be nice to be able to select multiple objects then lock them together so that they can be moved as a single unit. It would also be nice to be able to adjust draw/erase at the group level instead of the individual objects.
