Get rid of Fossil Fuels, capitalist will find another cheaply exploited energy source that's bad for the ultimate environment but has great profit margins.

This is due to poor forest management, this did not have to happen . Also the lack of water pressure was human error . The government of California were warned of this and were given advise on how to mitigate the damage a fire would do in these areas, they did nothing !
