The supporters want Imran Khan to be released from jail, and the current government - led by Shehbaz Sharif to resign. Khan has been in jail for over a year and faces more than 150 criminal cases, but he remains popular among his supporters. Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has described the cases as politically motivated.
