I preferred Brisbane south’s winner. Mostly because it had a clear flow to the areas. Some of them seemed to be just throwing everything at it with what seemed like no real plan just more is more. South felt more like what I might have seen back in the US 15 to 20 years ago. So it felt a bit nostalgic to me.

My vote was Bris East runner up. I liked the way you interpreted the colours too.

Amazing how much effort people put in. Not only putting up the decorations but also hosting visitors night after night. We live north of Brisbane in Moreton Bay RC. Our favourites there in Bendee Court Narangba, in particular nr 6 and 1. Thanks for the nice report. So what was your favourite?

I prefer the animated lights then the houses that look like Santa sneezed lights everywhere. More effort in the animated lights - can take up to 3-5 hours to sequence one minute of music. I did a animated house when we lived in Brisbane (northside). Cant wait to move back and fire it up again.

Well, to be exact, it is categorised as Brisbane Metro or Greater Brisbane, though I do not believe people will care much about administrative divisions of QLD that much :) great contents as always, though I really hope that not just a few houses which stand out with decorations but more of the whole streets ( as in Melbourne) and perhaps when Covid is over and consumers’ confidence is regained, there might be ‘artificial snow’ show to somehow relieve the Xmas heat which is the nature of the Southern hemisphere.

Some are messy looking. I prefer to see trees and plants covered with lights then pictures and other items.
